Oct. 26th- Ella's first taste of baby food

 Mess face- cute bib!
She liked the sweet potatoes and wanted more!

Mema's 89th Birthday

We met in Manhattan to celebrate Mema's special day. Ella is making a silly face....but she looks so cute in her ADORABLE outfit from Aunt Stacy and Grandma Deb. She looks so cozy in her Guh Guh's arms.

Happy Birthday, Mema!

Aunt Bonnie lives in Colorado, so it was her first time meeting Ella!

Aunt Connie and Julie were excited to see Miss Ella, too.

Aunt Connie and Aunt Bonnie gave Carter and Jay books and coloring books, so they were very entertained. They loved having Aunt Bonnie read to them.

It was so fun being with family and celebrating Mema! The KSU Men's basketball team happened to be at the same restaurant as we were. We had a lot of fun watching them....I am such a "people watcher". :)

NICU developmental clinic check-up

On Oct. 21st, we had an appointment with the physical therapist and speech language pathologist at the developmental clinic. (We will have visits with them every 3-6 months until Ella is 2 years of age). Beverly and Janette were so impressed with Ella and thought she was so social! She was able to hold an  object (block) in one hand and move it to her other hand. She was not able to hold an object in both hands at the same time, yet. She is reaching forward and stretching her muscles well. She lays on her tummy and pushes well, too. She is doing everything a 6 month old should be doing, and even some 9 months things. (She was just 6 months gestational).  They taught me some exercises to help Ella so that her toes do not curl under and to stretch the muscles in her right foot. Her right foot seems to be turning in a bit.

I left the appointment with a big smile! She is great and right on target. She is BLOOMING!!

The pumpkin patch was so much fun and best of all--it was free! We loved the beautiful weather and spending a fun afternoon with all of Carter and Ella's grandparents and Aunt Stacy, Uncle Chris, and cousins Jay Jay and Caden.

Visit with Dr. Stuppy and Cereal

October 13th was our visit with Dr. Stuppy. She thought she was doing great and told us we could start cereal with little sips of water while we were feeding her. I think I waited too long, because by the time I was ready to feed her, Ella was starving!!

She did not know what to think.

screaming and crying...

Even daddy couldn't get her to feel better. We gave up after she got a little down and gave her a bottle. I am happy to say the second day went much better than the first.

Cousins

Carter and Ella love when their cousins come to visit. We all went to get donuts...
and they went to Worlds of Fun to celebrate Devin and Elaina's birthdays!
We hope they visit again, soon.

Henry's Birthday

Henry lives next door to us, and he turned 6 a few weeks ago. Carter LOVED his pinata tradition, and now wants a pinata at his birthday. :)

The pinata was played on his actual birthday
