This week....

Ella looked cute in her new Hello Kitty attire.
Thanks Grandma Deb. She loves the pink!

We played with Will and Lydia at their house.
Here are the princess girls in their crowns.

Later this afternoon Ella started feeling sick. She is now running a fever. We took her in to the doctor and are keeping an eye on her.

Carter enrolled for Kindergarten!
He got a great teacher and he is very excited!
And yes, I chopped 12+ inches off my hair to donate.
The company will make wigs with my hair for cancer patients.

And I have been working in my new classroom.
A first grade position opened up in my school due to a teacher retiring.
I decided after 8 years of teaching second grade I decided it might be time for a change.
I interviewed (yes, at my school with my principal) and got the first grade position!

I am eager for a new challenge.
My new classroom theme is polka dots and bright colored owls--so let me know if you see something cute.

Vacation Bible School

Our church did not have VBS this year.
Meg invited Carter to join Will for VBS at their church.
The theme was SKY High with God with the message Trust God.

The week ended Friday with a carnival with games...

and more games...

and popcorn and snow cones!
It was a fun week for him learning more about God.

Carter's Swimming Lessons

Carter is very nervous around water. We are not sure why...but we encourage him positively to help him get over his fear of water. We enrolled him in swimming lessons and he made great progress! We are very proud of him.

His teacher, Amber was great with him. She was very patient with him.
Great swimming, Carter!
Ella enjoyed playing in the shallow end while Carter had lessons.

Hayden's 2nd Birthday

Hayden had an outdoor water party for his birthday! It was fun getting wet and wild.
Hayden is my good friend Summer's son.

Tball Season

Carter really made growth from last year. He actually enjoys playing tball this year.
He made a lot of friends on his team.

SWING

Later in the season we got smart and brought our own shade.
Another family had these awesome umbrellas they had found at Sams Club.
We got one thanks to Grandma Deb and Grandpa Ranny complete with kids sized chairs.
We will use it often!

It is great!

The Super Sonics Tball team!
Carter is in the 2nd row, 2nd from the left.

Fast trip to Newton

During our fast trip, we were able to see our cousins!
We always have to have time for donuts.

She thought she was such a big girl holding a baby.

Caden and Ella love to sing and play the piano at Grandma Deb and Grandpa Ranny's House.
Jay and Carter at Pappy and Guh Guh's House dressed as firemen.

What a FUN summer!

I know it looks like we are busy all the time, but we do stay home and rest.
Most summer days are normally a fun activity in the morning and then home for lunch and Ella's nap. We do like our 'cozy days' when we have nothing going on.

Alexander and Caroline's mom Carrie is a teacher, so she is home during the summer months like me.
We met one day at the HT preschool and hit it off. She is always game to go have a fun time!

We went to Deanna Rose Farmstead and saw the animals...

and fed the goats!

We went to Splash Cove swimming. This is always a MUST on Carter's Summer List.

The 4 kids posing for a picture.

Splash Cove has this awesome playground with water in the middle.
The kids could have played on it forever.

And one day we went to the Spray Park at Loose Park.

We brought plenty of buckets to fill and water toys to play with.

The girls loved it, too.

And I have to mention two of the three activities were FREE!
Carrie and I are great at finding the bargins. :)

Swimming with Guh Guh

We love it when my mom is here in KC with us. We always have so much fun!
This time we went to the pool at our gym.
We love our Guh Guh!!
And yes, Guh Guh went down the slides in the distance.

Summer Fun

 I love dressing her up!
We have been to a few summer movies with Alexander. These two have lots of fun together and love the popcorn and icee drinks.
We took the Carter and Brody to Theater in the Park.
(Our cable company had a free night so we decided to go).
The boys got their hair painted!
Carter chose orange and blue.
